NSK bearings began in 1916, Japan Seiko Co., Ltd. brand, the world's early design and production of bearings manufacturers, industry involved in automotive parts, precision machinery products, electronic applications and other fields of diversified group of companies, NSK as Japan's bearing pioneers, the development and provision of various types of bearings, for the development of industry and mechanical progress has made great contributions. Today, NSK is firmly in the forefront of the bearing field in Japan, as well as in the world. In addition, NSK has used the precision machining technology developed through the production of bearings to promote multifaceted business expansion by moving into the fields of automotive parts, precision machinery products and electronic applications from an early stage.

In the early 1960s, NSK established a sales office in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, which was the first step in establishing and operating overseas business locations. In 1970, a production site was established outside of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and new production sites were subsequently opened in North America, the UK and Asia. In 1990, NSK acquired UPI, which owned RHP, one of the larger bearing manufacturers in Europe. The NSK production bases and sales outlets spanning the entire European market are further strengthening NSK's dominant position in the European market.

Ltd. is the Chinese headquarters of NSK and is responsible for the production and technical sales operations in mainland China and Hong Kong. Since the establishment of the Beijing office in 1992, NSK has established more than 30 production, R&D and sales companies and their subsidiaries throughout China.
